Sailing Doctor is a no-profit association established in 2019 that is operative worldwide and with members from all around the world either medical professionals or not.

 

Our vision is: give smiles.

 

The mission is promoting and encouraging:

  • culture of peace, solidarity and respect for human rights

  • free healthcare, through a sailing ship and mobile clinics, in remote and disasters areas

  • education on sea and ecology

  • healthcare education and training for local professionals and first-aid courses for the population

WHAT? WE CAN DO?

 

WITH OUR MOBILE CLINICS WE CAN SEE AND TREATMENT 100 PEOPLE EVERY DAY

Assessment, planning and organization of disaster
Work toghether with local authorities and NGO
First AID (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS)
Improving access to primary healthcare, treat and stabilization, referral to specilistic service
Preventing and responding to disease outbreaks (such as cholera, malaria, measles, and other)
Public Health, epidemics control and sanitation

Providing mental health and psychosocial support
Providing physiotherapy and right instruments (chair, sticks, etc)
Treatment of severe and moderate malnutrition in childrens

Access to safe water with WASH (1000 liters drink water everyday)
Build of rural clinics, managed by the communities and by specialized personnel

Education for the population (first aid courses, hygiene, etc.)
Access to contraceptive methods; reduction in unwanted pregnancies and reduction in unassisted abortion deaths
Promote gender relations based on mutual respect
